Rat Swarm Mechanics & Avoidance
The rat swarms are a constant and terrifying threat in A Plague Tale: Requiem. Understanding their behavior and how to navigate them is critical for survival.
The Macula's Influence: The rats are drawn to darkness and are repelled by light and fire. Hugo's Macula also plays a significant role in their behavior, allowing him to influence them to a degree.
Light Sources: Torches, lanterns, and braziers are your primary defense against the rats. Staying within the illuminated radius of these light sources will keep the rats at bay. Enemies often carry torches, and you can use this to your advantage.
Fire: is, Amicia's fire-based alchemical projectile, is highly effective at burning away rat swarms. A well-placed is flask can clear a path through a dense infestation, but be mindful of its limited supply.
