However, the brazier is out of reach of your sling's fire projectiles. Look for a wooden beam or plank that can be pushed or pulled. Manipulate the environment to create a path for the cart to be moved, or to bring the brazier closer to an itable source. Often, this involves using your sling to knock over flammable objects near the cart, creating a chain reaction that ites the brazier. Once the brazier is lit, its flames will spread, potentially clearing the path or creating a distraction.
The Locked Gate and the Rat Swarm
Later, you'll face a locked gate patrolled by numerous guards. The key is often held by a specific guard, or the mechanism itself is protected. This is where Hugo's Macula abilities become vital. Observe the patrol patterns of the guards. You'll likely need to create a diversion. Use your sling to throw rocks at distant objects to draw guards away. Once a path is clear, or a guard is isolated, you can attempt a stealth takedown. If the gate is protected by a swarm of rats, you'll need to use your sling with alchemical ammo to create temporary safe zones or to guide the rats towards enemies. Look for flammable materials near the gate that can be ited to create a larger rat swarm, clearing the area. Alternatively, you might need to find an alternate route, perhaps by climbing or using a hidden passage, to reach a lever or a vantage point that allows you to manipulate the environment to your advantage.
The Suspended Platform
Another common puzzle involves a suspended platform or a bridge that needs to be lowered or activated. This often requires directing light onto a specific mechanism or using a rat swarm to destroy a supporting structure.
