The Gatekeeper is typically the first major boss you'll encounter, often guarding a critical pathway between sectors. It's a large, heavily armored 'Grumbler' variant with enhanced durability and a devastating charge attack. Location: Often found in the main access tunnel between Sector 0 and Sector 1. Phases:

- Phase 1 (75-100% Health): The Gatekeeper primarily uses a slow, sweeping melee attack and a powerful 'Charge' that can knock you down and deal heavy damage. It's slow to turn, so strafing is effective.
- Phase 2 (25-75% Health): It gains a 'Stomp' attack that creates a small AoE shockwave and becomes more aggressive with its charges. It might also summon 1-2 regular 'Grumblers' as adds.
- Phase 3 (0-25% Health): Enters a 'Berserk' state, increasing attack speed and charge frequency. It becomes more resistant to headshots but vulnerable to environmental hazards.
Weaknesses: Vulnerable to 'Explosive Damage' (grenades, explosive barrels) and 'Piercing Damage' (sniper rifles, heavy crossbows). Its back is slightly less armored. Strategy: Maintain distance and bait its charge attack. Dodge to the side at the last moment, then counter-attack its flank or back while it recovers. Use grenades during Phase 2 to clear adds and deal burst damage. In Phase 3, utilize any explosive barrels in the arena or focus fire on its exposed back. Recommended Gear: Medium to Heavy Armor, a reliable Ranged Weapon (Pistol/Shotgun) with plenty of ammo, and 2-3 Grenades.
