Upon entering the Research Wing, navigate through the lab areas. You'll likely encounter 'Shamblers' – faster, more aggressive variants of the Grumblers. Utilize environmental hazards like explosive barrels if available. Your goal is the 'Anomaly Containment Unit' at the far end of the wing. The door to this unit is heavily reinforced and requires power. Look for a nearby 'Generator Room' or 'Power Conduit Junction'. You'll need to find a 'Power Cell' or 'Fuse Box' to restore power. These are often hidden in side rooms or behind destructible crates. Once power is restored, activate the console next to the containment unit door. Be ready for a small wave of enemies once the door begins to open. Inside, you'll find a 'Data Log' detailing the initial incident and a 'Prototype Anomaly Scanner'.
