Often, these favors involve recovering lost items, which can range from personal belongings to vital research data. Completing these tasks not only aids the NPCs but also rewards you with valuable resources and information.

NPCs can be found in various safe zones or desated areas within the facility. They might be other survivors, researchers who have managed to evade the worst of the outbreak, or even automated systems with specific requests. Their dialogue will often hint at their predicament and the item they need recovered. These requests serve as mini-quests that break up the main narrative and offer opportunities for additional rewards.

The items you need to recover are usually located in dangerous or hard-to-reach areas. This means you'll need to venture into hostile territory, overcome environmental hazards, and potentially face challenging enemies to retrieve them. The location of the lost item will often be marked on your map or provided through detailed instructions by the NPC.
