Choke Point Control: Identifying and controlling choke points (narrow passages on the map) is crucial. Placing a strong defensive unit, like a Mech in a forest or a Medium Tank, can halt an entire enemy advance, allowing you to build up forces or flank. Use indirect fire units to support your choke point defenders, punishing any enemy unit that dares to approach.

Baiting & Trapping: The AI often reacts predictably to exposed units. Use a low-HP unit as bait to draw a powerful enemy unit into a trap, where it can be surrounded and destroyed by your stronger forces. This is especially effective against high-value targets like Medium Tanks or Bombers. Ensure your bait unit can survive at least one attack or is expendable.
Fog of War Exploitation: In Fog of War maps, vision is everything. Use cheap Infantry or Recon units to scout ahead, revealing enemy positions. Position your indirect fire units just outside the enemy's vision range, allowing them to attack without being seen or retaliated against. Use forests and mountains to hide your units and launch surprise attacks. Remember that air units have a wider vision range, making them excellent scouts.
