Before opening a dangerous glade, ensure you have a surplus of common resources (wood, stone, food) and potentially some Amber for trading. Be ready to assign villagers to resolve events immediately. Sometimes, it's better to open a glade during the Drizzle or Clearance season when Hostility is lower, giving you more time to react.
