The Town Center is the heart of your colony. It's where you train Villagers, research Age-upgrades, and garrison units for defense. It also serves as a drop-off point for all resources. Protecting your Town Center is paramount, as its destruction often leads to defeat. In the early game, continuously produce Villagers from your Town Center to establish a strong economy. Researching economic upgrades here, such as 'Hunting Dogs' or 'Placer Mines', is also crucial. Consider building additional Town Centers (if your civilization allows, like the Portuguese) to accelerate your villager production and expand your economic reach. Its defensive capabilities are modest, so don't rely solely on it for protection.
