While Age of Mythology: Retold is designed for strategic depth and competitive play, sometimes you just want to have some fun, experiment, or overcome a particularly challenging scenario without the grind. This section details the various cheat codes and console commands available, allowing you to manipulate resources, summon unique units, and even control the very fabric of time and nature within your game.

Important Note: Using cheat codes typically disables achievements for the current game session and may not be available in all multiplayer modes. These commands are primarily intended for single-player campaigns, custom scenarios, or casual skirmishes.

Activating the Console

To enter any of the cheat codes, you first need to activate the in-game console. Follow these simple steps:

During active gameplay (not in a menu), press the Return (or Enter) key on your keyboard.
A chat dialogue box will appear at the bottom of your screen. This is your command console.
Type the desired cheat code exactly as listed below, paying close attention to capitalization. All codes are case-sensitive and must be entered in ALL CAPS.
Press Return (or Enter) again to execute the command.
If successful, you will hear a distinct sound of thunder, confirming the cheat has been activated.

Resource Cheats

These commands provide immediate boosts to your economy, allowing you to build faster, research quicker, or simply bypass resource gathering entirely.

ATM OF EREBUS: Grants you 1,000 Gold. Perfect for those expensive unit upgrades or mythic age advancements.
JUNK FOOD NIGHT: Adds 1,000 Food to your reserves. Keep your population fed and your armies trained!
TROJAN HORSE FOR SALE: Provides 1,000 Wood. Essential for constructing buildings and siege weapons.

Gameplay & Utility Cheats

These cheats offer various advantages, from speeding up your progress to revealing the map.

THRILL OF VICTORY: Instantly wins the current game scenario. Use with caution, as it bypasses the entire gameplay experience.
TECH: Advances your civilization to the next age. Great for quickly testing late-game strategies or units.
LAY OF THE LAND: Reveals the entire map, removing the shroud. Fog of war will still be present, meaning enemy unit positions will only be visible if within line of sight.
IN DARKEST NIGHT: Changes the in-game time to night. Repeating the command will cycle it back to daylight. This is purely aesthetic.
ENGINEERED GRAIN: Instantly fattens all your herd animals (e.g., cows, goats) to their maximum food yield. Maximize your early game food income!

God Power & Unit Cheats

Unleash divine fury or summon unique, often humorous, units with these powerful commands.

PANDORAS BOX: Fills all your available God Power slots with a random assortment of powers. Expect anything from healing to destructive forces.
WRATH OF THE GODS: Grants you specific powerful God Powers: Lightning Storm, Earthquake, Meteor, and Tornado. Devastate your enemies!
BAWK BAWK BOOM: Provides a God Power that rains exploding chickens down on your foes. Surprisingly effective and highly amusing.
GOATUNHEIM: Gives you a God Power that transforms all units on the map (including your own!) into goats. Chaos ensues!
FEAR THE FORAGE: Bestows a God Power that turns berry bushes into sentient creatures that attack nearby enemy units. A unique defensive measure.
WUV WOO: Summons a unique flying purple hippo unit that attacks enemies with deadly red hearts. A truly mythical creature!
TINES OF POWER: Spawns a special unit called "Forkboy," resembling the iconic Bob's Big Boy mascot. He's a powerful melee unit.
