Relics provide powerful, permanent bonuses once garrisoned in a Temple. To claim a Relic, you must send a Hero unit to collect it; only Heroes have the ability to pick up and transport these artifacts. In Age of Mythology: Retold, many Relics have been renamed or adjusted for balance. Key examples include: The Ankh of Ra, which reduces the cost of Monuments; the Golden Fleece, which reduces the cost of all myth units; and the Horn of Plenty, a unique global relic that automatically generates a constant trickle of Food. For military boosts, specific items like the Bow of Artemis decrease the wood cost of archers, while the Boots of Kick-Everything increase the speed of your infantry. Strategic relic management is essential for long-term economic and military dominance.
