On water maps or maps with significant water bodies, naval warfare becomes a crucial side activity. Controlling the seas can deny your opponent access to fishing resources, allow you to transport units, and provide a powerful flanking option. To engage in naval warfare, you need to build a Dock. From the Dock, you can train various types of ships:

Naval Warfare
  • Fishing Ships: Gather Food from fish schools. Essential for early game economy on water maps.
  • Transport Ships: Carry land units across water. Useful for surprise attacks or reinforcing distant islands.
  • Attack Ships: Engage enemy naval units. Different mythologies have unique attack ships (e.g., Triremes for Greeks, Siege Barges for Egyptians).
  • Siege Ships: Powerful against coastal buildings and land units.

Build a balanced fleet and research naval upgrades at your Dock. Use your ships to scout, protect your fishing economy, and destroy enemy Docks and coastal defenses. Controlling the water can often be the key to victory on certain maps.
