Alien: Isolation offers several difficulty settings that significantly alter the gameplay experience. On 'Novice', the Alien is less aggressive, resources are more plentiful, and the motion tracker is more forgiving. 'Hard' and 'Nightmare' drastically increase the Alien's intelligence, awareness, and speed. Resources become scarce, and the motion tracker's range is reduced, making it harder to pinpoint threats. Choose a difficulty that matches your desired level of challenge, but be warned: even on 'Novice', the game can be incredibly tense. We recommend starting on 'Normal' for a balanced experience.
