The retrieval of the Disk is a pivotal moment, plunging you deeper into the machinery's dark heart. This section will guide you through the treacherous path to secure this vital component, detailing every step and potential threat.

Navigating the Lower Levels

Upon entering the lower levels of the facility, the air grows heavy with the stench of industry and decay. Your primary objective here is to locate the Disk, which is housed within a secure, heavily monitored area.

• Initial Descent: From the main access shaft, proceed through the rusted gate directly ahead. The path will lead you down a series of metal grates and catwalks. Keep your lamp lit, as visibility is severely limited.
• The Grinding Room: You will soon enter a large chamber dominated by a massive, constantly grinding machine. This area is patrolled by a single Pig-Man.
• Strategy: This Pig-Man follows a predictable patrol route, moving clockwise around the central machine. Utilize the large crates and machinery for cover. Wait for the creature to pass, then quickly move to the far side of the room. Do not attempt to engage; stealth is paramount.
• Key Item: On a workbench near the exit of the Grinding Room, you'll find a single Oil Lamp Refill. This is crucial for maintaining your light source in the darker sections ahead.
• The Pressure Valve Chamber: Beyond the Grinding Room, you'll find a corridor leading to a chamber filled with steam and hissing pipes. A large, red Pressure Valve is located on the central console.
• Action: Turn the Pressure Valve counter-clockwise until the steam subsides. This will unlock the heavy door on the opposite side of the room, leading to the Disk's location. Be prepared for a loud metallic groan as the door slowly retracts.

Securing the Disk

With the path cleared, you can now access the chamber containing the Disk. This area is smaller but presents its own unique challenges.

• The Disk Pedestal: Enter the newly opened chamber. In the center of the room, illuminated by a single flickering bulb, you will see the Disk resting on a metallic pedestal.
• The Alarm System: As you approach the Disk, a faint red light will begin to pulse from the pedestal. This indicates an active alarm system.
• Deactivation: To safely retrieve the Disk, you must first deactivate the alarm. Look for a small, recessed panel on the right side of the pedestal. Interact with it to reveal a series of three colored buttons: Red, Green, Blue.
• Sequence: The correct sequence to deactivate the alarm is Green, Blue, Red. Pressing them in the wrong order will trigger a loud siren, attracting nearby Pig-Men. If this happens, immediately retreat to the Pressure Valve Chamber and hide until the alarm subsides.
• Retrieving the Disk: Once the alarm is successfully deactivated (indicated by the red light turning off), you can safely interact with the pedestal to retrieve the Disk. It will automatically be added to your inventory.

With the Disk in hand, your next objective will be to find a way to utilize it within the machine's core. Be wary, for the facility's inhabitants are now more alert to your presence.
