The Grunts are the most common and recognizable monsters in Amnesia. They are humanoid, disfigured creatures with no eyes, making them blind. However, they possess acute hearing. Strategy: When you hear their distinctive growls or footsteps, immediately find a hiding spot (closet, under a table, behind crates). Avoid making any noise – close doors slowly, don't bump into objects. Do not look directly at them, as this causes rapid sanity drain. Wait for them to pass before moving. If spotted, run to the nearest hiding spot or a well-lit area, as they are hesitant to enter bright light.
