Welcome to The Study, a pivotal area where you'll uncover crucial lore and acquire items essential for your progression. This room is relatively safe, but maintaining your sanity is always a priority in the dimly lit corners of Brennenburg Castle.

Initial Entry and Observation

Upon entering The Study, take a moment to absorb your surroundings. This room is a treasure trove of information, so explore methodically.

  • Immediate Left: You'll notice a desk with various items.
  • Central Area: A large, imposing globe stands prominently.
  • Right Side: A bookshelf lines the wall, and another desk is present.

Desk Exploration (Left Side)

Approach the desk located immediately to your left as you enter. This is where you'll find your first key item in this room.

  • Gathering Tinderboxes: Look carefully on the desk surface. You should find at least 2 Tinderboxes here. These are invaluable for lighting your way and preserving your sanity.
  • Reading the Note: On the same desk, pick up and read the Note (Study). This document often contains cryptic clues or expands on Daniel's fragmented memories, furthering the narrative.

The Globe Puzzle

The large globe in the center of the room isn't just for show; it holds a secret. Interacting with it is key to unlocking the next stage.

  • Examine the Globe: Approach the globe and interact with it. You'll find it can be rotated.
  • Locating the Mechanism: Rotate the globe until you hear a distinct click or see a small compartment open. The exact location can vary slightly, but it's usually around the equator or a specific continent. Keep rotating slowly until it triggers.

  • More Tinderboxes: Search the surface and drawers of this desk. You should discover another 2 Tinderboxes, bringing your total from this room to at least 4.
  • Laudanum Vial: Crucially, you will also find a Laudanum Vial on this desk. This item is essential for restoring your health, so pick it up.

Bookshelf Investigation

Finally, examine the bookshelf along the wall. While not all books are interactive, one holds a significant clue.
