Lobbies are where the magic of Among Us happens. They are the virtual rooms where players gather to play. This guide will walk you through the steps of creating your own lobby and joining existing ones, whether they are public or private, so you can start your game of deception and deduction.

Creating a Lobby:

  1. Launch Among Us: Open the game on your device.
  2. Select "Online": On the main menu, click the "Online" button.
  3. Choose "Create Game": You will see options to "Create Game," "Find Game," and "Enter Code." Select "Create Game."
  4. Configure Your Lobby Settings: This is where you set the parameters for your game. You can adjust:
    • Map: Choose between The Skeld, Mira HQ, Polus, or The Airship.
    • Number of Impostors: 1, 2, or 3.
    • Max Players: The total number of players allowed (4-15).
    • Chat Language: Select the primary language for in-game chat.
  5. Confirm and Start: Once your settings are to your liking, click "Confirm." Your lobby will be created.
  6. Public vs. Private:
    • Public: If you want anyone to join, ensure the "Public" toggle is on. Your lobby will appear in the "Find Game" list for others.
    • Private: If you only want specific people to join, toggle "Private" on. You will then see a "Lobby Code" displayed. Share this code with your friends so they can join your game.

Joining a Lobby:

  1. Launch Among Us: Open the game.
  2. Select "Online": Click the "Online" button on the main menu.
  3. Choose "Find Game": This will bring up a list of public lobbies.
  4. Filter Lobbies: You can filter the list by:
    • Map: Select the map you wish to play on.
    • Number of Impostors: Filter by the desired number of Impostors.
    • Chat Language: Choose the language you prefer.
  5. Browse and Select: Scroll through the available lobbies. Pay attention to the lobby name, player count, and settings. Click on a lobby to join it.
  6. Entering a Private Lobby: If you have a lobby code for a private game, select "Enter Code" on the "Online" menu. Type in the code provided by the host and press Enter.

In the Lobby:

  • Customize Your Character: Once in a lobby, you can interact with the laptop to change your hat, skin, and pet.
  • Wait for Players: If you are the host, wait for enough players to join. If you are a guest, wait for the host to start the game.
  • Start the Game: The host will have a "Start" button available once enough players have joined and are ready.
