The Crewmate's Handbook — Among Us Walkthrough
Welcome, Crewmate! Your mission is vital: keep the ship running and uncover the Impostors before they sabotage everything. This handbook is your guide to survival, productivity, and deduction. By understanding your role, completing tasks efficiently, and communicating effectively, you can help ensure victory for the crew.
Being a Crewmate in Among Us is a test of observation, logic, and teamwork. You are the backbone of the operation, responsible for maintaining systems and identifying the hidden threats. This walkthrough provides essential knowledge and strategies to help you excel in your role and contribute to the crew's success.
Your Primary Objectives as a Crewmate:
- Complete All Tasks: The collective effort of all Crewmates to finish their assed tasks is a primary win condition. The taskbar at the top of the screen shows your progress.
- Identify and Eject Impostors: Through observation, deduction, and discussion, you must find out who the Impostors are and vote them out during meetings.
Essential Crewmate Strategies:
- Task Management:
- Prioritize: Work through your task list efficiently. Know which tasks are short and which are long.
- Visual Tasks: If you have a visual task (e.g., MedBay Scan, Shields, Weapons Firing), try to perform it when other You can see you. This is the most reliable way to prove your innocence.
- Taskbar Awareness: Keep an eye on the taskbar. If it doesn't move when someone claims to be doing a task, they might be faking.
- Observation and Information Gathering:
- Player Movements: Watch where players are going. Are they heading towards task locations, or just wandering?
- Who is with Whom: Note who is traveling together. If a body is found, the last person seen with the victim is highly suspicious.
- Admin Table: Use the Admin table (if available on the map) to see player locations in real-time. This can help track movements and identify suspicious patterns.
- Security Cameras: Monitor security cameras to catch Impostors in the act or to verify alibis.
- Communication During Meetings:
- Be Clear and Concise: State your location, who you were with, what tasks you were doing, and any suspicious activity you observed.
- Provide Evidence: Instead of "Red is sus," say "I saw Red running away from Electrical just before the body was found there."
- Listen Actively: Pay attention to what others are saying. Look for inconsistencies in their stories.
- Ask Questions: Don't be afraid to question players about their whereabouts and actions.
- Don't Accuse Baselessly: While suspicion is important, avoid making accusations without some form of evidence or strong reasoning, as this can lead to innocent Crewmates being ejected.
- Survival Tactics:
- Buddy System: Stick with a Crewmate you trust. Traveling in pairs can deter Impostors, but be wary if your "buddy" starts acting suspiciously.
- Avoid Risky Areas: Be cautious in isolated areas or rooms known for frequent kills (like Electrical on The Skeld).
- Report Bodies Promptly: If you find a body, report it immediately to trigger a discussion.
Common Crewmate Mistakes to Avoid:
- Wandering aimlessly without doing tasks.
- Not reporting bodies in a timely manner.
- Making accusations without sufficient evidence.
- Being too quiet or too aggressive during discussions.
- oring visual tasks or the taskbar progress.
- Trusting players too easily without verification.
By diligently following these guidelines, you'll become a more effective and valuable member of the Crewmate team, sificantly increasing your chances of survival and victory in Among Us.
