The security cameras are a vital tool for Crewmates, offering a bird's-eye view of key areas and potentially catching Impostors in the act. Mastering their use can sificantly increase your survival rate and ability to identify threats, turning passive observation into active deduction.

Located in the Security room, the camera system allows you to cycle through various camera feeds across the map. Each camera covers a specific area, providing valuable intel on player movements, task progress, and potential kill sites. However, Impostors are aware of the cameras and will often try to avoid them or use them to their advantage.

Camera Locations and Coverage

Understanding what each camera sees is crucial:

  • Camera 1 (Upper Left): Covers the hallway leading to Electrical and the entrance to MedBay.
  • Camera 2 (Upper Right): Overlooks the Cafeteria and the entrance to Weapons.
  • Camera 3 (Lower Left): Monitors the hallway near Navigation and the entrance to Shields.
  • Camera 4 (Lower Right): Watches the area around Storage and the entrance to Admin.

Crewmate Strategies for Camera Use

  • Establish Innocence: If you are seen on camera doing a task, it can help clear your name.
  • Monitor Key Areas: Pay close attention to areas with vents or common kill spots like Electrical.
  • Track Player Movements: Observe who is moving together, who is alone, and who is lingering suspiciously.
  • Spot Impostor Behavior: Look for players who seem to be faking tasks, running away from bodies, or emerging from vent areas.
  • Call Out Suspicious Activity: If you see something, report it immediately during the next meeting. Be specific about the camera and the player's actions.
  • Be Wary of the Red Light: When a camera is being actively watched, a red light blinks on the camera icon. This alerts players that someone is observing them.
