The Electrical sabotage is a common but dangerous event in Among Us, sificantly reducing visibility across the map and creating prime opportunities for Impostors. Crewmates must navigate the darkened corridors with extreme caution to restore power and prevent further eliminations.

When Electrical is sabotaged, the lights go out, plunging most of the map into darkness. This makes it incredibly difficult for Crewmates to see each other or their surroundings, playing directly into the Impostor's hands. The primary task to fix this is 'Fix Wiring', which requires interacting with multiple panels.

Crewmate Response Strategy

Prioritize Safety: The most important rule is to stay safe. Do not rush into Electrical alone.
Travel in Groups: If possible, go to Electrical with at least one other trusted Crewmate. A group of three or more is ideal.
Use the Admin Map: Before heading to Electrical, check the Admin Map to see if any players are lingering suspiciously in or around the area.
Be Aware of Common Kill Spots: Electrical itself is a notorious kill spot due to its layout and proximity to vents. The hallway leading to it is also dangerous.
Fix Wiring: The task involves completing a series of wiring puzzles in different locations (e.g., Electrical, Storage, Cafeteria, Admin). You must complete all of them to restore power.
Communicate Your Partner: If you are going with someone, announce it. "Going to fix lights with Yellow."
Watch for Suspicious Behavior: If someone claims to be fixing lights but doesn't seem to be moving between panels, or if they are acting erratically, they might be the Impostor.
If You See a Kill: If you witness a kill in the dark, try to get a description of the killer and report it immediately.

Impostors often use the lights sabotage to their advantage:

Create Kill Opportunities: The reduced visibility makes it easy to kill isolated Crewmates without being seen.
Vent Away: After a kill, use the vents to escape quickly and establish an alibi.
Pretend to Fix: Impostors may pretend to help fix the wiring, using the chaos to get close to other Crewmates or to make a kill.
Block Paths: Use doors to trap Crewmates or prevent them from reaching the lights panel.

Tips for Navigating the Dark

Stick to Walls: Moving along the edges of rooms can sometimes help you see players slightly better.
Listen Carefully: Footsteps and vent sounds are amplified in the quiet darkness.
Don't Stay in the Dark Too Long: Once the lights are fixed, return to your tasks or other areas.
