The Admin Map is a powerful surveillance tool for Crewmates, but for Impostors, it presents a sificant challenge. Understanding how to operate without drawing suspicion on the Admin Map, or how to mitigate its effectiveness, is crucial for successful deception and securing kills.

The Admin Map in the Admin room shows the general location of all living players as colored icons. Crewmates use it to track movements, detect venting, and identify kill locations. Impostors must be acutely aware of this tool and employ strategies to avoid detection or mislead Crewmates.

Impostor Strategies to Counter Admin Map

• Avoid Venting When Someone is in Admin: This is the most critical rule. If you see someone in the Admin room, do not vent. The sudden disappearance and reappearance of your icon will be immediately obvious.
• Strategic Kills in High-Traffic Areas: While risky, killing in a room with multiple You can sometimes cause confusion on the Admin Map. If several icons are present, a single disappearance might not immediately point to you. However, be prepared for the possibility of a body being reported quickly.
• Use Sabotages to Draw Players Away: Sabotages like O2 or Reactor will pull players away from the Admin room. This gives you a window to move freely, vent, or make a kill without the immediate threat of someone watching the Admin Map.
• Don't Linger in Hallways: On the Admin Map, players lingering in hallways without entering rooms can appear suspicious. Move with purpose.
• Fake Tasks Near Admin: If you need to be in the vicinity of Admin, pretend to do a task in a nearby room to appear as if you are engaged in Crewmate duties.
• Body Hiding: If you kill near a camera or a vent that could be monitored by Admin, try to move the body to a less conspicuous location if possible.
• Framing with Admin Data: If you see a player's icon in a certain area on Admin, and you've just killed elsewhere, you can try to report the body and subtly suggest that You seen on Admin was the culprit, especially if their movement seemed odd.
• Observe Admin Users: Be aware of who is spending time in the Admin room. These players are actively gathering information and can be a threat. If possible, try to isolate and eliminate them.
