Polus is a large, sprawling map with many outdoor areas and unique monitoring tools. Crewmates need to be aware of their surroundings and utilize the Vitals and Security systems.
Early Game (First 1-2 Minutes)
Start by doing tasks in the central lab or the nearby Office. Be cautious when venturing into isolated outdoor areas like Specimen Room, Weapons, or Storage. The Vitals monitor in the Office is extremely powerful; check it frequently to see if anyone has died. Security cameras are also present in several outdoor locations; use them to monitor suspicious activity. Pay attention to who is going into and out of the various buildings.
Mid Game (After First Report)
After a body is reported, use the Vitals log to see who died and when. Combine this with camera footage (if available) and player sightings. Continue doing tasks, but prioritize those in safer, more visible areas. If lights are sabotaged (Comms), head to Comms to fix them. The Comms sabotage also disables Vitals and Security, making it a dangerous time. Try to move in small groups, especially in outdoor areas.
Late Game (Few Players Remaining)
With fewer players, Impostors have more opportunities for isolated kills. Prioritize finishing tasks, especially if you're close to a task win. If a critical sabotage (Reactor or O2) occurs, drop everything and fix it immediately. The Reactor is a common kill spot during sabotages. If you have strong evidence, call an emergency meeting, but be prepared to present it clearly. Avoid being alone in remote areas.
