As an Impostor on The Skeld, your goal is to eliminate Crewmates efficiently and without detection. The map's layout offers many opportunities for quick kills and escapes.
Early Game (First 1-2 Minutes)
Start by faking a task in a common area like Admin or Navigation. Observe who is alone or in small groups. Electrical is a prime early-game kill spot due to its isolation and vent access. If you get a kill, immediately vent to a different room (e.g., Security or MedBay) and then walk out, pretending to have just arrived. Avoid killing near cameras or the Admin table if possible.
Mid Game (After First Report)
After a body is reported, participate in the discussion. Ask questions, feign confusion, and try to pin the blame on an innocent Crewmate. Use sabotages strategically. Lights out in Electrical is excellent for creating kill opportunities. Reactor or O2 sabotages can force Crewmates to split up, making them vulnerable. If you get a kill, consider self-reporting if no one is nearby to control the narrative and appear as the 'finder'.
Late Game (Few Players Remaining)
When the numbers are low, every kill is critical. If there's only one Impostor left and 3 Crewmates, you need two more kills. Use critical sabotages (Reactor/O2) to force a win or create a final kill opportunity. If you can get a double kill with another Impostor, that's often a game-ender. Be extremely careful with venting; at low numbers, being seen venting is almost certainly a loss.
