Understanding how each role wins is fundamental to playing Among Us effectively. Both Crewmates and Impostors have multiple paths to victory.
Crewmate Win Conditions:
- Complete All Tasks: If the communal task bar fills up, Crewmates win immediately. This is why tasking is so important.
- Eject All Impostors: If all Impostors are successfully identified and voted out, Crewmates win.
- Successfully Resolve Critical Sabotages: If Crewmates fix a critical sabotage (Reactor Meltdown or O2 Depletion) before the timer runs out, they win. This is a less common win condition but can happen if Impostors are careless.
Impostor Win Conditions:
- Kill Enough Crewmates: If the number of Impostors equals the number of Crewmates, Impostors win. For example, if there are 2 Impostors and 2 Crewmates remaining.
- Critical Sabotage Success: If Crewmates fail to fix a critical sabotage (Reactor Meltdown or O2 Depletion) before the timer expires, Impostors win. This is a powerful tool to force a win.
- Vote Out Innocent Crewmates: While not a direct win condition, successfully convincing Crewmates to eject their own members significantly helps Impostors reach their kill count win condition.
Keep these conditions in mind throughout the game to guide your actions and strategies.
