Fruits & Vegetables

Your island's natural bounty begins with a single native fruit, which will be one of five possibilities: apples, oranges, cherries, peaches, or pears. While your native fruit is valuable, non-native fruits are sificantly more profitable, selling for 500 Bells each compared to the 100 Bells your native fruit fetches. To diversify your island's fruit production and increase your earning potential, you can acquire other fruits by visiting Mystery Islands using Nook Miles Tickets, trading with friends who have different native fruits, or by receiving them in the mail from villagers or other characters. In addition to fruits, your island can also cultivate several vegetables, including carrots, potatoes, wheat, tomatoes, and sugarcane. These vegetables are grown from starts purchased from Nook's Cranny or found on Mystery Islands. Like fruits, growing and selling several vegetables can be a lucrative endeavor, adding another layer to your island's agricultural economy and providing ingredients for cooking, a later-game mechanic.
