Fossil Hunting
Embarking on a fossil hunt is a fundamental activity for any aspiring paleontologist on your island. Each day, up to four new fossil spots will magically appear across your island. These locations are easily identifiable by a distinctive star-shaped crack in the ground, a clear indicator of buried treasure. To excavate these ancient remnants, you'll need to equip yourself with a shovel. Once unearthed, these fossils are not immediately identifiable. Your next step is to take them to Blathers, the esteemed curator of your island's museum. Blathers, an owl with a penchant for the past, will meticulously identify each fossil. The primary purpose of collecting fossils is to complete the museum's impressive dinosaur exhibit. By donating new and unique fossils to Blathers, you contribute to the expansion and enrichment of the museum's collection, making it a more comprehensive repository of prehistoric life. For any duplicate fossils you unearth, they can be sold for Bells, providing a valuable source of income to fund other island endeavors. Fossils are a consistent and reliable way to earn Bells and contribute to the museum's growth, making them a vital part of your daily island routine.
