Setting Up Your Tent

After the initial briefing, Tom Nook will give you a tent kit. Walk around your island and find a suitable spot. Consider proximity to the beach, rivers, and potential future building locations. Once you've chosen, press 'A' to place the kit. You can rotate it before confirming. This is your first home, and its location is somewhat flexible later, but a good initial spot can save you Bells. You'll also be given tent kits for your two starting villagers; place these in locations you think they'd enjoy, keeping in mind future expansion of your island.
