Obtaining and Using Calling Cards/Request Tickets
Calling Cards and Request Tickets are invaluable items in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, allowing you to summon specific animal friends to recreational areas or your campsite. This is particularly useful for completing Stretch Goals, fulfilling animal requests, or simply spending time with your favorite villagers.
What are Calling Cards and Request Tickets?
- Calling Cards: These allow you to invite any animal not currently present at a recreational spot or your campsite to a specific recreational area.
- Request Tickets: These are used to instantly refresh an animal's requests, allowing you to complete more tasks and earn additional rewards without waiting for the usual three-hour timer.
Obtaining Calling Cards and Request Tickets
Both Calling Cards and Request Tickets can be acquired through various in-game activities:
- Leveling Up: As you increase your player level, you will occasionally receive these items as rewards.
- Completing Stretch Goals: Many Stretch Goals (daily, weekly, and event-specific challenges) offer Calling Cards and Request Tickets as completion bonuses. Always check your Stretch Goals menu!
- Log-in Bonuses: Regular log-ins can sometimes reward you with these useful items.
- Event Rewards: Participate in seasonal events, Garden Events, Fishing Tourneys, and Scavenger Hunts, as they often provide Calling Cards and Request Tickets as prizes.
- Happy Home Academy (HHA) Rewards: Excelling in HHA classes can also grant you these items.
- Purchasing with Leaf Tickets: While not recommended for regular use due to their premium currency cost, you can purchase Calling Cards and Request Tickets directly from the in-game shop using Leaf Tickets if you're in a pinch.
Using Calling Cards
Using a Calling Card is a straightforward process that allows you to bring a specific animal to a recreational area of your choice. This is perfect for when you need to fulfill a request from an animal not currently visiting or want to increase your friendship level with them.
Step-by-Step Guide to Using a Calling Card:
- Navigate to a Recreational Area: Travel to one of the four main recreational spots:
- Breezy Hollow
- Saltwater Shores
- Sunburst Island
- Lost Lure Creek
You cannot use a Calling Card to summon an animal to your campsite directly; they must first be called to a recreational area.
- Open Your Contacts: Once at your chosen recreational area, tap the "Contacts" icon (usually located on the bottom right of your screen).
- Select an Animal: Browse your list of animal friends. You will notice that some animals are already present at other locations (indicated by a location icon next to their name), while others are "away" (no icon).
- Summon the Animal: Choose an animal who is not currently present at any recreational spot or your campsite. A prompt will appear asking if you wish to use a Calling Card to invite them. Confirm your choice.
- Animal Arrives: The selected animal will immediately appear at the recreational area you are in. They will join any other animals already present.
Pro Tip: Animals summoned with a Calling Card will typically stay for their own separate three-hour timer, independent of the global rotation timer for other animals. However, to be safe, it's always a good idea to use Calling Cards when there's plenty of time left on the global timer for the area.
Using Request Tickets
Request Tickets are incredibly useful for speeding up your progress with animal friendships and collecting materials. Each animal at a recreational area or your campsite has a set number of requests they will make before needing a cooldown period.
Step-by-Step Guide to Using a Request Ticket:
- Find an Animal with No Current Requests: Approach an animal at any recreational area or your campsite. If they have already made all their available requests for the current cycle, they will not have an exclamation mark above their head.
- Initiate Conversation: Tap on the animal to start a conversation.
- Offer a Request Ticket: If they have no active requests, an option will appear to use a "Request Ticket" to make them ask for more items. Confirm your choice.
- New Requests Appear: The animal will immediately generate new requests for you to fulfill, allowing you to earn more Bells, materials, and friendship points.
Strategy Tip: Save your Request Tickets for animals you are actively trying to level up quickly, or when you need specific crafting materials they offer as rewards. They are particularly valuable during events that require collecting many items from animals.
