Managing Your Friends List
Connecting with other players in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp enhances your gameplay experience, allowing you to share resources, visit camps, and send gifts. A well-managed Friends List is key to maximizing these benefits.
Adding Friends
There are several ways to expand your circle of friends in Pocket Camp:
- Sharing Your Player ID: Your unique 12-digit Player ID can be found by tapping the "Friends" icon (two overlapping heads) at the bottom of your screen, then selecting "Search" (magnifying glass icon), and finally "Your ID." You can share this ID with others, or input theirs to send a friend request.
- Searching for Nearby Players: If you're physically close to another player, you can use the "Search for Nearby Players" option within the "Search" menu. Both players need to have this option active simultaneously for it to work.
- Friend Requests from Visitors: When another player visits your campsite, they may send you a friend request. You'll see these pending requests in the "Requests" tab within your Friends menu.
- Linking to My Nintendo Account: While not a direct friend-adding method within Pocket Camp, linking your game to a My Nintendo account can sometimes facilitate connections if you're also playing other Nintendo titles with friends.
Interacting with Friends
Once you have friends, a world of cooperative activities opens up:
- Visiting Campsites: From your Friends List, tap on a friend's icon to visit their campsite. This is a great way to get inspiration for your own camp design and see their favorite villagers.
- Giving Kudos: While visiting a friend's campsite, you can give them "Kudos" by tapping the hand icon. This is a simple way to show appreciation and can sometimes lead to reciprocal Kudos.
- Watering Plants in the Garden: At your friend's garden, you can help water their plants. This is mutually beneficial, as it helps their plants grow faster and often rewards you with Friend Powder.
- Sharing Resources: Friends can help each other with various in-game tasks, such as sharing rare fruits or helping with event-specific requests.
- Sending Gifts: You can send gifts to your friends, which can contain crafting materials, Bells, or even special items. This is a fantastic way to maintain connections and help each other progress.
Managing Your Friends List
Keeping your Friends List organized ensures you're connecting with active players and making the most of your friendships.
Reviewing Friend Requests
Periodically check the "Requests" tab in your Friends menu. Here you can:
- Accept Requests: If you recognize You or wish to add them, tap "Accept."
- Decline Requests: If you don't wish to add a player, tap "Decline."
Removing Friends
If a friend becomes inactive or you no longer wish to be connected, you can remove them:
- Tap the "Friends" icon at the bottom of your screen.
- Select the "Friends" tab.
- Tap on the friend you wish to remove.
- On their profile page, tap the "Remove Friend" button (often represented by a trash can or "X" icon).
- Confirm your decision when prompted.
Strategy Tip: Regularly review your Friends List. Removing inactive friends frees up space for new, active players who can contribute to your in-game goals, especially during gardening events or when you need assistance with quarry requests.
