Crafting is at the heart of Pocket Camp, and it relies heavily on various materials:
- Wood, Cotton, Steel, Paper, Preserves: These are the five basic crafting materials. You obtain them by fulfilling animal requests, shaking trees, hitting rocks, and sometimes from balloons. Each furniture item requires a specific combination and quantity of these materials.
- Essences: As discussed in the 'Characters & Builds' section, essences (Cute, Sporty, Cool, Natural, Chic, Gorgeous, Hip, Historical) are obtained by fulfilling requests from animals of that specific personality type. They are primarily used for crafting amenities and some higher-tier furniture.
- Sparkle Stones: These rare materials are used for crafting very special or unique items, often tied to specific animals or events. You can get them from leveling up animals, completing Stretch Goals, or sometimes as event rewards.
- Event Materials: During special events like Scavenger Hunts, you'll collect unique event-specific materials (e.g., Gyroidite, Candy Canes) that are only used to craft event-exclusive items.
