Camper Customization and Interior Design
Your camper is your home away from home in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, and personalizing it is a core part of the experience! This guide will walk you through transforming your mobile abode, both inside and out.
Exterior Customization: The Paint Shop
The exterior of your camper can be changed to reflect your style. This is handled by Giovanni, Carlo, and Beppe at the OK Motors garage. They offer various paint jobs and structural upgrades.
- Accessing the Paint Shop:
- Tap the map icon in the bottom right corner of your screen.
- Select OK Motors from the location list.
- Once at OK Motors, tap on the camper icon above Giovanni's head.
- Available Customizations:
- Paint Jobs: These change the color and pattern of your camper's exterior. Options range from simple solid colors to more elaborate designs like the "Polka-Dot" or "Wood Grain" finishes. New paint jobs are often introduced during seasonal events or through special cookies.
- Camper Upgrades: As you level up, you'll unlock the ability to expand your camper.
- Second Floor: This adds an entire upper level to your camper, significantly increasing your interior decorating space. This upgrade is crucial for more elaborate designs.
- Third Floor: For the truly ambitious designers, a third floor provides even more room to play with.
- Cost: Exterior customizations typically cost Bells, though some premium options might require Leaf Tickets. Camper upgrades, especially adding new floors, can be quite expensive, so start saving your Bells early!
Interior Design: Furnishing Your Mobile Home
The interior of your camper is where your creativity can truly shine. You can place furniture, rugs, and wallpaper to create unique themes and atmospheres.
- Entering Interior Design Mode:
- Tap the "Design" icon (a small furniture icon) on the right side of your screen while inside your camper.
- This will open the design interface, allowing you to move, place, and store items.
- Acquiring Furniture and Decor:
- Crafting: The most common way to get furniture is by crafting it at your campsite using materials gathered from the various recreation spots (e.g., wood, cotton, steel). Speak to Cyrus at your craft table.
- Fortune Cookies: Special and often themed furniture items can be obtained from Fortune Cookies, available at the Fortune Cookie Shop or sometimes as event rewards.
- Event Rewards: Participate in gardening events, fishing tourneys, and seasonal events to earn exclusive furniture items.
- Special Request Items: Fulfilling special requests for villagers can sometimes reward you with unique furniture.
- Market Place: Occasionally, Timmy and Tommy will sell furniture items at the Market Place.
- Designing Tips and Strategies:
- Theme Consistency: Choose a theme (e.g., "cozy cafe," "retro arcade," "forest retreat") and select furniture that complements it.
- Wallpaper and Flooring: Don't forget these foundational elements! They set the mood for the entire room. You can craft these or obtain them from Fortune Cookies and events.
- Layering: Use rugs, small decorative items, and plants to add depth and detail to your spaces.
- use All Floors: If you've upgraded your camper, treat each floor as a distinct room or area. For example, a living space on the first floor and a bedroom on the second.
- Storage Management: Your inventory can fill up quickly. Store unused furniture in your storage to keep your design interface clean and organized. Access storage through the design menu.
