Hassan ben Sahid is the most consistent 'boss' you'll face in Anno 1404. He operates from hidden pirate coves and will regularly attack your trade ships, demanding tribute or plundering your cargo. His 'phases' involve escalating aggression as your wealth and trade routes expand. His 'weakness' is a strong, well-equipped navy. To defeat him, you need to build a Shipyard (requires Citizens) and construct several Small Warships or Oriental Warships. Equip them with the best cannons and speed upgrades you can find. Station your fleet strategically along your main trade routes or near his known pirate coves. Engage his ships in combat, focusing fire on his flagship if possible. Alternatively, you can pay him tribute to temporarily deter his attacks, but this is a costly long-term solution. The 'reward' for defeating him is secure trade routes, peace of mind, and sometimes, valuable loot from his sunken ships.
