Arenas is a 3v3 round-based game mode where teams compete to win rounds by eliminating the opposing squad. There's no looting; instead, you purchase weapons, armor, and abilities at the start of each round using 'Crafting Materials' earned from previous rounds. This mode emphasizes pure gun skill, tactical ability usage, and coordinated pushes. It's an excellent way to practice combat without the pressure of a full battle royale match.

Arenas Mechanics:

  • Crafting Materials: Earned per round, used to purchase gear. More materials are awarded for winning rounds and getting kills.
  • Purchase Phase: Before each round, you have a limited time to buy weapons, attachments, healing items, and upgrade your armor.
  • Round Objectives: Eliminate the enemy squad. If the game goes to a tie-breaker, a capture point appears.
  • Ring: A small ring still closes in Arenas, forcing engagements.

Arenas Strategy:

  • Economy Management: Don't overspend early. Save materials for better weapons and armor in later rounds.
  • Team Composition: Choose Legends that synergize well in small-scale engagements (e.g., defensive Legends like Wattson/Caustic, offensive Legends like Octane/Ash).
  • Map Knowledge: Learn the various Arenas maps to identify strong defensive positions and flanking routes.
  • Focus Fire: Always focus fire on one enemy to quickly gain a numbers advantage.
  • Ability Usage: Use your tactical and ultimate abilities strategically to initiate pushes, defend positions, or escape.
