Starting with Season 20, Legends gained a new layer of customization through a perk system. As you level up your Evo Shield during a match, you'll unlock choices for Legend-specific perks that enhance their abilities or provide new utility. These upgrades allow for dynamic adjustments to your Legend's playstyle based on the match's flow and your team's needs. Understanding these perks is crucial for maximizing your Legend's potential.

How Legend Perks Work:

  • Evo Shield Tiers: When your Evo Shield reaches Blue (Level 2) and Purple (Level 3), you'll be prompted to choose a perk.
  • Two Choices Per Tier: At each tier, you'll have two distinct perk options to choose from.
  • Legend-Specific: Each Legend has a unique set of perks tailored to their kit.
  • Permanent for the Match: Once chosen, perks are active for the remainder of that match.

Example Perks (Illustrative, actual perks vary by Legend and season):

  • Wraith:
    • Blue Tier: Faster Tactical Cooldown / Longer Portal Duration
    • Purple Tier: Tactical Heals Shield / Ultimate Creates Decoy
  • Bloodhound:
    • Blue Tier: Tactical Scans Faster / Tactical Reveals More Clues
    • Purple Tier: Ultimate Lasts Longer / Ultimate Grants Health on Knockdown
  • Lifeline:
    • Blue Tier: Faster Revive Speed / D.O.C. Heals Faster
    • Purple Tier: Care Package Drops Faster / Care Package Contains Better Loot

Strategic Perk Selection:

  • Team Needs: Choose perks that complement your squad's composition or fill a gap (e.g., if you lack healing, a healing-focused perk might be good).
  • Match Flow: Adapt to the current situation. If you're in constant fights, combat-oriented perks might be better. If you're rotating, mobility perks.
  • Personal Playstyle: Select perks that enhance how you prefer to play that Legend.
  • Experiment: Don't be afraid to try different perk combinations to see what works best for you.
