Apex Legends features various maps where Battle Royale matches take place, each offering unique tactical opportunities and challenges. Understanding the layout and key locations of these maps is essential for successful exploration and strategic gameplay. This section covers map details and how they influence player movement and combat.
The Battle Royale mode features up to 60 players per match, divided into twenty squads of three in Trios or thirty squads of two in Duos. The objective is to be the last squad standing. Matches begin with players in a dropship, allowing them to skydive onto the map led by their squad's Jumpmaster. Players start with a Level 1 Shield Core, a Knockdown Shield, four Shield Cells, and four Syringes. All other items must be looted from the ground or supply bins.
The games were temporarily moved to a new arena at World's Edge on the planet of Talos after Kings Canyon became too difficult to reconstruct due to continued attacks.
