Apex Packs are the primary source of cosmetic items in Apex Legends, offering players a chance to acquire a variety of visual customizations for their Legends and weapons. These packs contain three items, with rarities ranging from Common to Legendary. The contents are determined by a loot table, ensuring a randomized but fair distribution of rewards.

The items found within Apex Packs include weapon skins, Legend skins, banner frames, banner poses, skydive emotes, and even Heirloom Shards. Apex Packs can be obtained through various in-game activities, such as leveling up your account, completing Battle Pass challenges, and purchasing them with real currency or Apex Coins. Understanding the potential drops can help manage player expectations.

• Weapon Skins: Alter the appearance of your firearms.
• Legend Skins: Change the look of your chosen Legend.
• Banner Cosmetics: Customize your player banner with frames and poses.
• Skydive Emotes: Unique animations performed during the initial drop.
• Heirloom Shards: A rare currency used to craft exclusive Heirloom melee weapons.

The rarity of an item influences its visual complexity and desirability. Common items are the most frequent, while Legendary items are the rarest and often feature intricate dess. There's also a guaranteed Legendary item within every 30 Apex Packs opened, and a guaranteed Heirloom item within every 500 Apex Packs opened. This pity system ensures that players will eventually receive high-tier rewards.

You can also acquire Thematic Packs during events, which guarantee at least one item related to the event's theme, such as a specific Legend or weapon. Collection Event Packs are similar, guaranteeing an item from the event's collection.
