Cosmetics in Apex Legends allow players to personalize their appearance and express their individuality within the game. These items do not affect gameplay mechanics but offer a wide range of visual customizations for Legends, weapons, and player banners. They are a significant part of the game's monetization and player engagement strategy.

The most sought-after cosmetics include Legendary skins for Legends and weapons, which often feature unique dess, animations, and sound effects. Banner frames, poses, and trackers allow players to showcase their achievements and style on their player profile. Additionally, Skydive Emotes provide unique animations during the initial drop into the match, adding a flair of personality.

Heirloom sets are the rarest and most prestigious cosmetics, consisting of a unique melee weapon and associated animations for a specific Legend. These are acquired through Heirloom Shards, which have a very low drop rate from Apex Packs but are guaranteed within 500 packs. You can then use these shards to craft their desired Heirloom set.
