Contingency Contract (CC) is Arknights' premier challenge mode, offering unique rewards and testing your roster's limits. Unlike standard stages, CC introduces "Contracts" – modifiers that increase difficulty in exchange for "Contract Points." Mastering CC involves strategic Contract selection and precise operator deployment.

Understanding the CC Interface

• Event Hub: Access CC from the main menu during its active period. You'll find two primary modes:
  • Permanent Site: Features a fixed map that remains throughout the event, allowing for repeated attempts and score optimization. This is where you'll push for higher Risk levels.
  • Daily Stages: Rotates daily, presenting a new map with a pre-selected set of Contracts. These offer daily rewards and are generally less demanding than the Permanent Site's highest risks.
• Contract Selection Screen: Before starting a stage, you'll be presented with a list of available Contracts. These are categorized by their effect (e.g., enemy buffs, operator nerfs, map changes) and their associated Risk value.
• Risk Level: The sum of all selected Contract values. Higher Risk levels yield more rewards and are required to unlock certain achievements.
• Support Unit: You can bring one support operator from your friends list, even if you don't own them. This is crucial for filling gaps in your roster or utilizing high-tier operators like Blaze, Exusiai, SilverAsh, Mountain, or Thorns.

Strategic Contract Selection

Choosing the right Contracts is paramount to success. Don't just pick the highest-value Contracts; consider their synergy and impact on your chosen strategy.

• Prioritize Low-Impact Contracts: Start by selecting Contracts that have minimal impact on your core strategy or that your strong operators can easily mitigate. Examples include minor HP buffs for enemies or slight deployment point (DP) generation reductions if your vanguard setup is robust.
• Understand Contract Synergies: Some Contracts become significantly harder when combined. For instance, increasing enemy HP and reducing your operators' attack simultaneously can be devastating. Conversely, some Contracts might negate each other's downsides for specific strategies.
• Targeted Nerfs: If you rely heavily on a specific operator archetype (e.g., Snipers), avoid Contracts that severely penalize that archetype unless you have a strong alternative.
• Map-Specific Contracts: Pay close attention to Contracts that alter the map layout or enemy routes. These often require significant adjustments to your deployment strategy.

2. Low-Risk Clear (Risk 8-12):

   • Aim to clear this risk band to secure initial rewards and get a feel for how your chosen operators perform under slight pressure.

   • Operator Vouchers: If you have an Operator Voucher, consider operators like Liskarm for DP generation and defense, Silence for strong healing, Pramanix for debuffs, or Projekt Red for fast-redeploy utility, depending on your needs.
   • Micro-Management: High-risk CC often demands precise skill activation, redeployment timings, and even strategic retreats. Practice is key.
   • Community Resources: Don't hesitate to consult community guides on platforms like Reddit or YouTube for specific high-risk strategies for the current CC map. Many players share detailed walkthroughs and operator recommendations.

Daily Stages Strategy

Daily stages are generally less demanding than the Permanent Site's highest risks, but still offer valuable rewards.

• Quick Clear Focus: Aim for a quick and efficient clear of the daily stage to secure your daily Contract Bounty.
• Adapt to Contracts: The daily Contracts are fixed, so quickly assess their impact and adjust your team accordingly. You might need to swap out certain operators or change your deployment order.
• Don't Overthink: Unless you're aiming for a personal best, a simple clear is sufficient. Save your mental energy for the Permanent Site.
