Once inside the fortress, your ultimate goal is to assassinate a specific target. The target is usually well-guarded and often in a central, open area. Before engaging, observe their patrol pattern and the movements of their bodyguards. This is an excellent opportunity to use your Rope Dart. Select the Rope Dart (if unlocked) and aim it at a guard on a higher platform or a hanging object. You can use it to pull enemies off ledges for a silent kill or to create a distraction. If the target is in a room with multiple exits, consider using a smoke bomb to disorient the guards, allowing you to quickly dispatch the target and escape. Alternatively, look for vents or hidden passages that lead directly to the target's location, bypassing most of the guards. A clean assassination without raising an alarm will significantly boost your score. After the assassination, you'll typically need to escape the area, often through a newly opened path.
