While stealth is preferred, combat is sometimes unavoidable. Mastering it can save your life and maintain your score. Here's how to be efficient in a fight:
- Perfect Parries: Timing your parry (Y/Triangle/E) perfectly will not only block an attack but also stun the enemy, opening them up for a counter-attack. This is crucial against stronger enemies.
- Dodge & Attack: For unblockable attacks, always dodge (A/X/Spacebar). After dodging, you often have a small window to land a quick hit or two.
- Prioritize Threats: In a group fight, identify the most dangerous enemies first (e.g., riflemen, heavy guards). Use smoke bombs to disorient the group, then quickly eliminate the highest priority targets.
- Environmental Advantages: Always look for ways to use the environment in combat. Kicking enemies off ledges, pushing them into hazards, or dropping objects on them can quickly thin out their numbers.
- Tool Integration: Don't forget your tools in combat. Smoke bombs are excellent for crowd control. Noise darts can draw one enemy away from a group, allowing you to deal with them individually.
- Helix Abilities (India/Russia): Helix Dash can be used to quickly reposition or dodge attacks, while Helix Kill can instantly remove a dangerous enemy from the fight.
