Beyond the sprawling main narrative and numerous side quests, Assassin's Creed Odyssey offers a consistent stream of daily and weekly challenges that are invaluable for resource gathering, especially for acquiring the coveted Orichalcum Ore. These repeatable quests are your primary source for this rare currency, which can then be exchanged at the Oikos of the Olympians for powerful Legendary gear, mounts, and cosmetic items. Accessing Daily & Weekly Quests

You can easily access these quests from two main sources:

Message Boards: Scattered throughout every major city and settlement in Greece, Message Boards are identifiable by their distinctive scroll icon on your map. Interact with these boards to view available contracts and bounties.
Adrestia's Ship Board: While sailing the Aegean, you can access a Message Board directly on your ship, the Adrestia. This is particularly convenient for picking up new quests between naval engagements or land explorations.

Both sources offer the same pool of daily and weekly quests, so choose whichever is most convenient for your current location.

Understanding Quest Types & Rewards

Daily and Weekly Quests fall into two primary categories:

Daily Contracts (Bounties)

Frequency: These refresh every 24 hours (real-world time).
Objective: Typically involve eliminating a certain number of soldiers from a specific faction (e.g., "Kill 5 Athenian Soldiers"), sinking X number of ships, or assassinating a particular mercenary.
Rewards: Primarily grant Drachmae, XP, and a small amount of Orichalcum Ore (usually 10-15 pieces per quest).
Strategy: These are often completed passively as you explore and engage in combat. For example, if a daily contract requires you to kill Athenian soldiers, simply engaging in conquest battles or raiding Athenian-controlled forts will contribute to its completion. Prioritize contracts that align with your current objectives to maximize efficiency.

Weekly Contracts (Epic Quests)

Frequency: These refresh every Tuesday (real-world time).
Objective: These are more substantial challenges, often requiring you to defeat an Epic Mercenary, an Epic Ship, or a specific Legendary Beast. For instance, a weekly quest might task you with "Defeat the Boar of Erymanthos" or "Sink the Legendary Pirate Ship, The Black Wind."
Rewards: Offer significantly more Orichalcum Ore (typically 40-50 pieces per quest), substantial Drachmae, and a large amount of XP.
Strategy: Weekly quests often require more focused effort.

Epic Mercenaries: These are powerful foes. Ensure your gear is upgraded and consider using abilities like Hero Strike or Overpower Attacks for burst damage. Scout their location beforehand to plan your approach.
Epic Ships: Naval combat can be challenging. Upgrade your ship's hull, arrows, and javelins. Focus on ramming vulnerable sections and using fire arrows to inflict sustained damage. Recruit Legendary Lieutenants to boost your ship's stats.
Legendary Beasts: These creatures are essentially mini-bosses. Prepare with appropriate gear and consumables. For example, the Erymanthian Boar is notorious for its toxic gas; equip gear with poison resistance or use abilities to quickly close the distance and avoid its AoE attacks.

Maximizing Orichalcum Ore Gains

Orichalcum Ore is the lifeblood of the Oikos of the Olympians, allowing you to purchase unique items. Here’s how to maximize your acquisition:

Complete All Available Quests: Make it a habit to check Message Boards daily and weekly. Even if you don't immediately pursue them, having them active means you might complete them without even trying.
Prioritize Weekly Quests: Due to their higher Orichalcum yield, always make an effort to complete the weekly contracts before they reset.
Explore Thoroughly: While not directly tied to daily/weekly quests, Orichalcum Ore can also be found in small veins scattered across the world. These appear as glowing blue rocks and are often found in caves, ruins, and remote areas. Keep an eye out for them as you explore.
Check the Oikos of the Olympians Regularly: The inventory of the Oikos refreshes weekly. Save your Orichalcum Ore for items you truly desire, as some Legendary pieces can significantly enhance your build.
