Trophies & Achievements
Welcome, Misthios, to the ultimate guide for unlocking every Trophy and Achievement in Assassin's Creed Odyssey! This section provides detailed strategies, locations, and tips to ensure you conquer every challenge and earn that coveted Platinum Trophy or 100% Gamerscore. Many achievements are tied to the main story, but several require exploration, specific combat feats, or completion of side content. Let's dive in!
Story-Related Trophies
Most story-related trophies are unmissable as you progress through the main Odyssey quests. Focus on enjoying the narrative, and these will naturally unlock. We'll highlight any specific choices that might influence certain outcomes, but for the most part, simply completing the main questlines will net you a significant portion of the list.
- So It Begins: Awarded for completing the introductory quests on Kephallonia. This includes "So It Begins" and "Debt Collector."
- The Journey Begins: Unlocks after leaving Kephallonia and reaching Megaris.
- A New God: Earned upon completing the main story questline and reaching one of the game's multiple endings. For specific quests that affect the ending, refer to our "Quests That Affect The Ending" section.
Exploration & Collection Trophies
These trophies encourage you to delve deep into the vast world of Ancient Greece. Prepare for extensive travel and meticulous searching!
Hermes's Homie
Trophy Description: Discover all sub-regions of Greece.
This is arguably one of the most time-consuming trophies. You need to uncover every single named sub-region on the map. Here's how to approach it:
- Synchronize Viewpoints: Activating all Viewpoints across the map is crucial. Not only do they reveal large portions of the map, but they also serve as fast travel points, making subsequent exploration much quicker.
- Naval Exploration: Don't forget the seas! Sail your ship, the Adrestia, around every coastline and island. Many smaller islands and coastal areas count as unique sub-regions.
- Zoom In on the Map: When you think you've explored an area, zoom all the way in on your map. Look for any greyed-out sections or areas without a distinct name. These are often the missing sub-regions.
- Check Your Progress: While there isn't an in-game tracker for this specific trophy, you can generally tell by the map's appearance. A fully explored region will have a vibrant, detailed map, while unexplored areas will be hazy.
- DLC Areas: Note that this trophy only applies to the base game map. DLC regions (like those in the Fate of Atlantis or Legacy of the First Blade) are not required.
Lord of the Seas
Trophy Description: Upgrade the Adrestia to its maximum potential.
This trophy requires significant resource gathering and a substantial amount of Drachmae. Focus on:
- Resource Gathering: Prioritize collecting Wood, Iron, Leather, and Obsidian.
- Wood: Sink enemy ships, loot shipwrecks, and chop down trees.
- Iron: Loot enemy camps, collect from mining nodes (glowing rocks), and dismantle unwanted gear.
- Leather: Hunt animals, loot enemy camps, and dismantle unwanted gear.
- Obsidian: Found in caves, enemy forts, and sometimes dropped by high-level enemies.
- Naval Combat: Engage in naval battles frequently. Not only do you gain resources from sinking ships, but you also earn Drachmae and XP.
- Mercenary Contracts: Completing contracts often rewards you with large sums of Drachmae, which are essential for the higher-tier upgrades.
- Upgrade Order: Focus on upgrading the hull first for survivability, then arrows and javelins for offensive power. Crew strength and ramming power are also vital.
Combat & Skill Trophies
These trophies test your prowess in battle and your mastery of Alexios/Kassandra's abilities.
Master of the Hunt
Trophy Description: Kill a Legendary Animal.
Legendary Animals are powerful, unique beasts found throughout Greece. They are often part of side quests given by Daphnae. Here's a general strategy:
- Locate Daphnae: You'll first encounter Daphnae in the region of Phokis, near the Temple of Artemis. She will give you the quest "Daughters of Artemis," which initiates the Legendary Animal hunt.
- Prepare for Battle: Legendary Animals are high-level encounters. Ensure your gear is upgraded, and you have a good selection of abilities equipped.
- Recommended Abilities: Second Wind (healing), Hero Strike (high damage), Overpower Attacks, and potentially Predator Shot for ranged damage.
- Gear: Equip your best Legendary or Epic gear, focusing on damage and survivability.
- Strategy: Each animal has unique attack patterns.
- The Kalydonian Boar: Infamous for its summoned piglets. Focus on clearing the piglets first with area-of-effect abilities before re-engaging the boar.
- The Nemean Lion: A fast and aggressive foe. Dodge frequently and counter-attack after its charges.
- Complete the Questline: You only need to kill one for the trophy, but completing all of Daphnae's quests will reward you with the powerful Artemis's Bow and the Master of the Hunt Legendary Armor Set.
Wrath of the Amazons
Trophy Description: Kill 100 enemies using the "Spartan Kick" ability.
The iconic Spartan Kick is not just for sending enemies off cliffs! To earn this trophy:
- Unlock Spartan Kick: This is one of the earliest abilities you can unlock in the Warrior skill tree.
- Lower Enemy Health: The Spartan Kick does not deal massive damage. Weaken enemies significantly with normal attacks or other abilities before using the kick for the finishing blow.
- Environmental Kills: While not strictly necessary for the trophy, kicking enemies off high ledges or into water is a satisfying way to get kills and can sometimes count towards the 100.
- Repeated Use: Simply use the ability frequently in combat. It's a low-cost ability, so integrate it into your combat rotation.
Miscellaneous Trophies
These trophies often involve specific actions or reaching certain milestones outside of the main progression.
Stink Eye
Trophy Description: Recover the Cyclops's eye from a goat.
This is a humorous and somewhat random trophy. Here's how to get it:
- Complete "A God Among Men": This main quest on Kephallonia involves dealing with the Cyclops. After you defeat him, you'll loot his eye.
- The Goat Incident: During a later quest, "Eye for an Eye," you'll discover that a goat has eaten the Cyclops's eye.
- Hunt the Goat: You'll be directed to a specific area to hunt a unique goat. It will be marked on your map. Kill this specific goat, and you will loot the Cyclops's eye from its carcass, unlocking the trophy.
Demigod
Trophy Description: Reach Level 50.
Reaching the level cap requires consistent gameplay and XP accumulation. Refer to our "Leveling/Grinding Guide" for comprehensive strategies, but here are the key takeaways:
- Complete Quests: Main quests, side quests, and even small "!" quests offer significant XP.
- Conquest Battles: Participating in Conquest Battles (large-scale faction wars) provides excellent XP and gear rewards.
- Bounties & Contracts: Pick up bounties from message boards and contracts from various NPCs. These are quick and repeatable sources of XP.
- Clear Locations: Fully clearing forts, camps, and caves by completing all objectives (killing captains, looting treasures, burning war supplies) grants bonus XP.
- Mercenary Tiers: Progressing through the Mercenary Tiers by defeating higher-ranked mercenaries also provides substantial XP and rewards.
