Siwa Region Collectibles

The starting region of Siwa, while seemingly small, holds numerous secrets crucial for early game progression and understanding the world of Assassin's Creed Origins. Focus on these early to gain a significant advantage.

Ancient Mechanisms

First Civ. Mechanism - Siwa Oasis
- Location: Deep within the Tomb of Amenemhat, located in the northern part of the Siwa Oasis.
- Walkthrough:
  1. Approach the Tomb of Amenemhat, recognizable by its distinct entrance carved into the rock face.
  2. Navigate the initial puzzles involving moving blocks and activating pressure plates to open pathways.
  3. Proceed through the flooded sections, utilizing Bayek's swimming abilities. Keep an eye out for crocodiles!
  4. The mechanism chamber is at the very end of the tomb. Interact with the glowing pedestal to activate the mechanism and receive an Ability Point.
  5. Strategy Tip: Bring a torch for better visibility in the darker sections and be prepared for potential combat with snakes or scorpions in the narrower passages.

Hermit Locations

Hermit locations offer a moment of respite and often reward Bayek with an Ability Point upon discovery. They are typically found in serene, isolated spots.

Hermit's Hideaway - Siwa Mountains
- Location: Perched high on a plateau in the northeastern mountains of Siwa, overlooking the oasis.
- Walkthrough:
  1. Travel to the northeastern edge of the Siwa region.
  2. Look for a winding path leading up the mountainside. You may need to dismount your camel/horse and climb some sections.
  3. The hideaway is a small, secluded dwelling with a campfire. Approach it to trigger the discovery and earn your Ability Point.
  4. Strategy Tip: Use Senu to pinpoint the exact location from a distance, making the climb more efficient.

Stone Circles

These ancient astrological sites require Bayek to align constellations in the night sky. Completing them unlocks a unique outfit and contributes to the "Stargazer" achievement.

Amon Stone Circle - Siwa Oasis
- Location: Southwest of Siwa Village, near the large lake.
- Walkthrough:
  1. Travel to the marked location southwest of Siwa Village.
  2. Interact with the central stone to begin the puzzle.
  3. You will need to align the constellation of Amon with the stars in the night sky. Rotate and scale the constellation until it perfectly matches the pattern.
  4. Strategy Tip: Ensure it is nighttime in the game to attempt these puzzles. If it's daytime, simply meditate using the D-pad (down) to advance time until nightfall.

Papyri Puzzles

Papyri are riddles that lead to hidden treasures. Finding the papyrus is only half the battle; deciphering its cryptic clues is the key.

"Divided Valley" Papyrus - Siwa Village
- Papyrus Location: Inside the Temple of Amun in Siwa Village, on a table near the main altar.
- Treasure Location:
  1. After acquiring the "Divided Valley" papyrus, read its description carefully: "In the Siwa region, south of the mountain with the split peak, you will find me in a valley. I am hidden beneath a lone, withered tree, near a small pool of water."
  2. Head south from the mountain with the distinctive split peak (easily identifiable on your map).
  3. Look for a narrow valley. Within this valley, locate a solitary, dead tree next to a small, shallow pool of water.
  4. The treasure will be buried at the base of this tree. Interact with the ground to unearth your reward, which typically includes a rare weapon or shield.

Loot & Treasure Locations (Siwa)

These locations contain valuable resources, gear, and sometimes even rare weapons. Always clear out any hostile presence before attempting to loot.

Siwa Fort - Eastern Siwa
- Contents: Contains 3-4 treasure chests, often including rare weapons or shields, and a significant amount of crafting materials.
- Walkthrough:
  1. Approach the fort from the eastern side for a less guarded entry point.
  2. Use Senu to tag all enemies, including the Captain and Commander. Prioritize stealth takedowns.
  3. The main treasure chest is usually located within the Commander's tent or the central armory. Other smaller chests are scattered throughout the barracks and watchtowers.
  4. Strategy Tip: Consider attempting this at night for reduced visibility and easier stealth. Utilize sleep darts or poison darts to neutralize patrols silently.
- House of the Oracle - Siwa Village
  - Contents: 1-2 treasure chests, typically containing common or rare gear and drachmas.
  - Walkthrough:
    1. The House of the Oracle is a prominent building in the center of Siwa Village.
    2. The chests are usually found on the upper floors or in a hidden room accessible via a movable shelf.
