Memory 01 - The King's Correspondence

This memory focuses on infiltrating a heavily guarded area to retrieve sensitive documents. Stealth is paramount here, as direct confrontation can quickly overwhelm you.

  • Objective: Infiltrate the Palace Courtyard.
    • Approach the palace from the western side. use the dense foliage and market stalls for cover.
    • Look for an open window on the second floor of the building adjacent to the main gate. A well-timed climb and jump will get you inside undetected.
    • Alternatively, you can distract the two guards patrolling the main entrance with a Cherry Bomb and then use a Smoke Bomb to slip past them.
  • Objective: Locate and Steal the King's Correspondence.
    • Once inside, navigate the corridors carefully. There are several patrolling Brutes and Snipers.
    • Use your Eagle Vision frequently to mark enemy positions and patrol paths.
    • The correspondence is located in a locked chest in the King's private study on the third floor.
    • To reach the study, you'll need to pick a master-level lock. Ensure you have enough Lockpicks (at least 3-4 recommended).
    • Consider taking out the single guard stationed directly outside the study door with a Cover Kill or Air Assassination from the chandelier above.
  • Objective: Escape the Palace Grounds.
    • After acquiring the correspondence, the palace will go on high alert.
    • Do not attempt to fight your way out. Instead, retrace your steps or find an alternative escape route.
    • A good option is to head to the rooftop and use the numerous ziplines and parkour opportunities to quickly exit the restricted area.
    • Aim for the synchronization point on the nearby church steeple for a quick and safe escape.

Memory 02 - Hoarders

In this memory, Arno must investigate a series of suspicious activities tied to a wealthy merchant, uncovering a Templar hoarding valuable resources. This mission involves a mix of investigation and stealth.

  • Objective: Investigate the Merchant's Warehouse.
    • Head to the marked warehouse district in the Le Marais borough.
    • The primary entrance is heavily guarded. Look for a less obvious entry point, such as a broken window on the side of the building or a rooftop access point.
    • Before entering, use Eagle Vision to identify the three key investigation points within the warehouse.
  • Objective: Gather Information on the Hoarded Goods.
    • Clue 1: Manifest Ledger. This is located on a desk in the main office area on the ground floor. There are two guards conversing nearby; use a Berserk Blade on one to create a distraction.
    • Clue 2: Crate Contents. Examine the large, unusually marked crates in the central storage area. You'll need to approach them stealthily as several guards patrol this section.
    • Clue 3: Secret Compartment. This is hidden behind a bookshelf in a smaller, private room upstairs. You'll need to interact with the bookshelf to reveal the compartment. Be wary of the patrolling Enforcer in this area.
  • Objective: Confront the Merchant.
    • Once all clues are gathered, the merchant will be marked on your map. He is usually found in a private office on the top floor, guarded by two Brutes.
    • Consider using Phantom Blades to silently eliminate the guards before confronting the merchant.
    • The confrontation itself is a cutscene, so no combat is required here.
  • Objective: Escape the Area.
    • After the confrontation, the warehouse will become a hostile zone.
    • Your best bet is to exit through the rooftop. There are several climbable surfaces and ropes that lead directly to the outside.
    • Avoid engaging the numerous guards who will now be actively searching for you.

Memory 03 - The Executioner

This memory culminates in the assassination of a key Templar figure responsible for many injustices. This is a classic assassination mission with multiple opportunities and approaches.

  • Objective: Identify the Executioner.
    • You'll begin in a crowded square where a public execution is about to take place.
    • Use Eagle Vision to scan the crowd and the elevated platform. The target, Monsieur Le Pelley, will be highlighted.
    • Pay attention to the optional objective: "Blend with the Crowd" to remain undetected during the initial phase.
  • Objective: Assassinate Monsieur Le Pelley.
    • Opportunity 1: Poison the Drink. There's a serving tray with drinks near Le Pelley's platform. You can discreetly poison one of the drinks with a Poison Bomb or Poison Blade if you have the skill. This requires a stealthy approach to the serving area, often involving distracting a guard.
    • Opportunity 2: Sniper Perch. A building overlooking the execution platform offers a perfect vantage point for a Headshot with a rifle. You'll need to climb to the rooftop and eliminate any snipers already present.
    • Opportunity 3: Direct Approach. For a more aggressive approach, you can create a diversion (e.g., with a Cherry Bomb or by assassinating a visible guard) and then use a Smoke Bomb to close the distance for a quick Hidden Blade assassination.
