A Gift from the Past
Following your intense confrontation with Angrboda and the subsequent pursuit of the Mistress of the Iron Wood, your journey through Jotunheim continues to delve deeper into the realm's ancient secrets. Your next objective, "A Gift from the Past," involves a unique puzzle-solving sequence that requires keen observation and a good understanding of Jotunheim's mystical properties. This section will guide you through the intricate steps to successfully complete this quest and uncover the ancient artifact it promises.
To begin "A Gift from the Past," you'll need to locate the desated quest marker, typically found near the central regions of Jotunheim, often in areas with ancient ruins or unusual rock formations. Upon arrival, you'll notice a series of glowing runes and interactive elements. The core of this puzzle revolves around manipulating the environment to reveal hidden pathways or activate ancient mechanisms. Pay close attention to the visual cues provided by the game; often, a subtle shimmer or a distinct sound will indicate an interactive point.
The primary challenge here involves aling several mystical projections or beams of light. You'll need to find and activate various runestones or altars in the correct sequence. Look for glowing pedestals or interactable objects that, when activated, project a beam of light. Your goal is to redirect these beams using reflective surfaces or other environmental elements to a central point. There are usually three to four such beams. Experiment with the order of activation and the angles of redirection. A common strategy is to activate one beam, then adjust its path, and then move to the next, ensuring each beam eventually converges. Once all beams are correctly aled, a hidden chamber or an ancient chest will be revealed, containing the "Gift from the Past" and advancing your saga in Jotunheim.
