Welcome, Jarl! This comprehensive guide will help you conquer every challenge and unlock all the prestigious achievements and trophies in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Whether you're a completionist aiming for the Platinum or just looking to snag a few elusive ones, we've got you covered with detailed strategies and exact locations.

Story-Related Achievements (Unmissable)

Many achievements are tied directly to the main narrative and cannot be missed. Simply progressing through the story arcs in Norway, England, Asgard, and Jotunheim will naturally unlock these. Focus on enjoying Eivor's saga, and these will pop as you go.

  • The Saga Begins: Complete the prologue in Norway.
  • Settling Down: Establish your settlement in Ravensthorpe.
  • To England!: Arrive in England and begin your conquest.
  • Asgardian Legend: Complete the Asgard storyline.
  • The Fate of the High One: Conclude the Jotunheim storyline.
  • Kingmaker: Ally with all regions in England.
  • The Last Chapter: Complete the main story arc.

Exploration & Collectible Achievements

These achievements require a keen eye and a willingness to explore every nook and cranny of the vast world. Prepare for some extensive travel!

All That Glitters

Find all Treasure Hoard maps and collect their associated treasures.

Treasure Hoard maps are typically found as "Wealth" markers (golden icons) on your map, often within chests in restricted areas or hidden behind environmental puzzles. Once collected, the map appears in your inventory under the "Quest Items" tab. Each map provides a drawing or riddle pointing to a specific location where a treasure (usually a cosmetic scheme or a small amount of silver) is buried. You'll need to physically dig up the treasure at the indicated spot. There are 22 Treasure Hoard maps in total across England, Norway, and the mythical realms. Prioritize clearing out Wealth markers in each region as you progress to avoid extensive backtracking.

  • Example: Grantebridgescire Hoard Map: Found in a chest within the Besuncen Tor bandit camp, located southwest of Grantebridge. The treasure itself is buried near a large, lone tree on a small island in the river south of Wiccan's Cave.
  • Example: Cent Hoard Map: Located in a chest within the Dover Pharos in Cent. The treasure is found by a fallen tree near a small pond northwest of Canterbury.

Completionist All the Way!

Complete all territories.

This achievement requires you to fully complete every region in England, Norway, Asgard, and Jotunheim. "Completing" a territory means finding all Wealth, Mysteries, and Artifacts within that specific region. Your map will show a completion percentage for each territory. Use your raven, Synin, frequently to scout out points of interest. Remember to dive into caves, solve standing stone puzzles, and chase down flying papers!

  • Wealth: Gold icons on your map. These include gear, ingots, and ability books. Many are locked behind puzzles or guarded by enemies.
  • Mysteries: Blue icons on your map. These encompass World Events, Flyting challenges, Altars, Standing Stones, Animus Anomalies, and more.
  • Artifacts: White icons on your map. These include Roman Artifacts, Cursed Symbols, Flying Papers, and Treasure Hoard Maps.

Strategy: Tackle one region at a time. Clear all markers before moving to the next. For particularly tricky Wealth or Artifacts, look for environmental clues like destructible walls (use your bow or an oil jar), hidden entrances, or climbable structures.

Combat & Skill Achievements

Prove your prowess in battle and master Eivor's diverse combat abilities.

Master Hunter

Defeat all Alpha Animals.

Alpha Animals are powerful, unique beasts found in specific locations across England. They are marked as "Mysteries" (blue icons) on your map. Each Alpha Animal has a distinct combat style and requires a strategic approach. Ensure your power level is adequate before engaging.

  • Black Shuck (East Anglia): Found in the East Anglia region, east of King's Bury. This spectral wolf is fast and hits hard. Dodge its lunges and use ranged attacks or quick combo finishers.
  • The Corpse Feeders (Oxenefordscire): A pack of three wolves found in Oxenefordscire, north of Leah Villa Garrison. Focus on one at a time, using area-of-effect abilities if available.
  • The Blood Swine (Essexe): A giant boar located in Essexe, near Halstead Outpost. It charges frequently; dodge and counter-attack its flanks.
  • Bear of the Blue Waters (Rygjafylke, Norway): A massive polar bear found on an island in Rygjafylke, north of Alrekstad. Use fire or poison to your advantage and maintain distance.

General Strategy: Equip gear that boosts your preferred combat style (melee, ranged, stealth). Utilize your abilities, especially those that stun or deal significant damage. Always carry a good stock of rations and arrows.

Rampage

Complete your first Raid in England.

Raids are a core mechanic of Valhalla, allowing you to plunder resources for your settlement. You'll encounter your first raid opportunity early in England. Simply approach a raid location (marked by crossed axes on your map) with your longship and initiate the raid. Your Jomsvikingr will assist you in breaching doors and fighting enemies.

  • First Raid Location: Typically, the first raid you'll encounter is Kjotve's Fortress in Norway as part of the main story, though the achievement specifically refers to England. Your first English raid will likely be St. Albanes Abbey in Oxenefordscire or Sudwella Monastery in Ledecestrescire, depending on your initial alliance choices.

Strategy: Ensure your longship is fully manned. Use your horn to call your crew to help open doors or chests. Focus on eliminating archers first, then engage ground troops. loot all the large chests marked by golden icons after the fighting subsides.

Miscellaneous Achievements

These achievements often involve specific actions or interactions within the world.

Builder

Reach settlement level 3.

Your settlement, Ravensthorpe, grows as you invest resources (Supplies and Raw Materials) into constructing new buildings and upgrading existing ones. You gain these resources primarily through raids and by completing story quests. Reaching level 3 requires a significant investment.

  • Key Buildings for Early Levels:
    • Hidden Ones Bureau: Unlocks assassinations and provides a skill point.
    • Seer's Hut: Unlocks the Asgard/Jotunheim storylines.
    • Barracks: Allows you to recruit Jomsvikingr.
    • Blacksmith: Allows gear upgrades.
    • Stable: Improves your mount.
    • Fishing Hut: Provides fishing opportunities.

Strategy: Prioritize raiding monasteries and completing story arcs that reward Raw Materials. Spend your resources wisely on buildings that offer immediate benefits or advance your progress towards other achievements.

Equine Attack

Perform a assassination from your horse.

This is a fun and relatively easy achievement. You need to be mounted on your horse, approach an unaware enemy, and perform a stealth attack. Ensure your target is not alerted.

  • Location: Any open-world area with patrolling enemies. A good spot is the roads around Ledecestrescire or Grantebridgescire.
  • Steps:
    1. Mount your horse.
    2. Approach an enemy from behind or from the side, ensuring they are not in combat or alerted.
    3. When the prompt appears (usually a triangle/Y button), press it to perform the assassination.

Twisted and Twisted

Complete 10 Orlog games.

Orlog is a dice game played throughout England and Norway. You'll find opponents in most major settlements and smaller villages, marked by a dice icon on your map. You don't need to win, just complete 10 games.

  • Locations: Look for Orlog players in Ravensthorpe, Ledecestre, Grantebridge, Lunden, Winchester, and many other towns.
  • Strategy: The game involves rolling dice to gain tokens (used for God Favors) and deal damage. Focus on understanding the dice symbols (axe for melee, arrow for ranged, helmet for block, shield for parry, hand for stealing tokens, and bordered dice for gaining tokens). Play defensively if you're struggling, or aggressively if you want to finish quickly.

Remember to regularly check your in-game achievement/trophy list to track your progress. Good luck, Eivor!
