Sibrand Boss Strategy
Confronting Sibrand, the zealous leader of the Order of the Ancients in Jorvik, requires a calculated approach that balances aggressive offense with defensive awareness. Sibrand is a formidable foe, wielding a large axe and capable of powerful sweeping attacks. His primary weakness lies in his predictable attack patterns and his susceptibility to parries, especially when he telegraphs his heavy swings.
The fight begins with Sibrand charging directly at you. Your initial action should be to dodge to the side and immediately counter-attack. Focus on landing 2-3 light attacks before disengaging. Sibrand's sature move is a series of three powerful axe slams. The first two can be dodged, but the third often has a delayed wind-up. Mastering the timing of the parry for this third slam is crucial, as a successful parry will stagger him, opening him up for a devastating stun attack. This stun attack deals sificant damage and can be chained into a full combo.
When Sibrand begins to glow with a golden aura, he is preparing a powerful area-of-effect (AoE) attack. This is your cue to create distance. Sprint away from him immediately, as the shockwave can deal substantial damage even at a moderate range. Do not attempt to block this attack; evasion is the only reliable defense. After this AoE, he will often follow up with a quick axe throw. Keep an eye on his animations; a distinct arm raise precedes this projectile.
Throughout the fight, utilize your abilities strategically. The Rush Assassination ability can be effective for closing the distance after a successful parry or when Sibrand is recovering from a missed heavy attack. However, be mindful of its cooldown. If you find yourself taking too much damage, consider using the Man's Best Friend ability to summon a wolf companion. The wolf can distract Sibrand, giving you precious moments to heal or reposition. Remember to loot Sibrand's body for the Order Medallion and any valuable gear he may possess.
