Komira
Komira is an NPC encountered in Baldur's Gate 3, primarily found near the Emerald Grove. She is a concerned mother searching for her daughter, Arabella, who has gotten into trouble with the druids. Komira's plight often serves as an early quest hook, drawing players into the complex social dynamics and conflicts within the Grove.
Players first encounter Komira at the north entrance of The Hollow (X:257 Y:451), where she is in a heated argument with the druid Jeorna. Jeorna accuses Arabella of being a thief and states she will face Kagha's judgment. Komira, desperate and protective, threatens Jeorna, but is ultimately deterred by another druid transforming into a bear.
Interacting with Komira and Locke can initiate the quest Save Arabella. This questline often involves navigating the tensions between the tiefling refugees and the druids, requiring players to make choices that can impact the fate of both Komira and her daughter. Depending on player actions, Komira may be reunited with Arabella, or face the consequences of the druids' decisions.
Komira's role highlights the early moral dilemmas players face in Baldur's Gate 3, forcing them to consider the perspectives of different factions and the potential repercussions of their interventions. Her dialogue and situation provide insight into the struggles of the tiefling refugees seeking sanctuary.
