Raphael
Raphael is a significant character you can encounter in Baldur's Gate 3, often appearing after you've attempted to remove the parasite from your brain and rested. He introduces himself and offers his services, leading to a series of intriguing dialogue choices that can shape your interaction with him.
After your conversation with Nettie concludes, proceed to the Servants' Quarters (X:-461 Y:-17). An open path behind a bookshelf leads to Kagha's Chest at (X:-488 Y:-4). Successfully lockpicking this chest requires a Dexterity check with a DC of 10, allowing you to loot its contents.
Upon meeting Raphael, your initial dialogue options are:
- Pleasure. I'm Player's Name.
- Am I talking to the mouse or the cat?
- Pretty words. If you want to threaten me, don't disguise it.
- Walk away while you still have legs to walk with.
Choosing the second option, "Am I talking to the mouse or the cat?", will cause Raphael to teleport you to a dining room, which he calls the Middle-of-somewhere. Your next choices are:
- Nice decor.
- Can you be more specific than 'somewhere'?
- Take me back. Now.
- Reach for your weapon.
If you select "Nice decor," he will reveal you are in the House of Hope and ominously suggest you enjoy the food, as it might be your last meal. Your subsequent choices are:
- What makes you say that?
- I'm getting tired of your games.
- Are these theatrics leading somewhere?
- Ignore him and fill your plate.
Ignoring him will prompt him to continue the conversation, after which he transforms into a devil. Raphael is also involved in the quest "Kill Raphael’s Old Enemy" in the Shadow-Cursed Lands and a decision point in Act 3 regarding whether to take his deal.
