Drow

When discussing your tadpole with Healer Nettie, she may reveal information about a dissected drow. This drow was attacked by goblins in the woods, and a tadpole emerged from its head after its death. Nettie uses this example to explain the nature of the parasite you carry, suggesting a shared affliction with the drow.

Upon telling Nettie about your tadpole, you have several dialogue options:

  • "You know of them? Can you help me?"
  • "What other kinds are there? It's not like a frog hopped in my eye."
  • "Actually, never mind. I'll get help elsewhere."

Choosing the first option leads Nettie to offer assistance and direct you to the Enclave Library. Inside, you'll find a dissected drow on a table. Nettie explains that this drow had the same problem as you. Your subsequent choices are:

  1. "The drow and I have the same kind of parasite?"
  2. "I'm hoping for a less grave cure."
  3. "So you killed him and laid him out on the table?"
  4. "Is everyone being captured by mind flayers these days? Didn't think it was a common experience."

If you select the first option, Nettie confirms the shared parasite and mentions that Halsin possesses greater knowledge due to his studies. She then offers further help, prompting these choices:

  1. "Thank you, I'll take anything that can help."
  2. "What's that plant? Will it help?"
  3. "Just hurry up and cure me. I don't have time to chat."

Selecting the first option again leads Nettie to inquire about your experiences and symptoms:

  1. "I can merge my mind with anyone else that's infected."
  2. "I fell from a ship in the sky, but something caught me. Saved my life."
  3. "An intellect devourer spoke to me as if I were one of its own."
  4. "No, nothing strange, I just want it out of my head."

Choosing the first of these options causes Nettie to ask how you acquired the parasite:

  1. "On a mind flayer ship - I was kidnapped and infected."
  2. "I don't know. I just woke up with it."
  3. "You're asking a lot of questions."
  4. "Look, are you going to cure me or not?"

If you state you were infected on a mind flayer ship, Nettie will deem you dangerous but possessing a good soul. She will then instruct you to swear to swallow Wyvern Poison if you begin to show symptoms.
