Quest: Seek Protection from the Shadow Curse

The quest "Seek Protection from the Shadow Curse" is a critical objective in Baldur's Gate 3, guiding you through the perilous Shadow-Cursed Lands. This quest is part of the larger goal to Infiltrate Moonrise Towers and eventually Defeat Ketheric Thorm. Your journey begins at the Ravaged Beach, where you will encounter Shadowheart.

Upon starting this quest, you will find yourself at the Ravaged Beach. Follow the path ahead to locate Shadowheart unconscious on the ground (X:271 Y:217). Interacting with her presents three dialogue options. If you previously failed skill checks to investigate the console, you can use the Eldritch Rune, looted from a corpse in the east room from Shadowheart's location. Place the rune into the console's socket and select "Place your hand on the Console." A Wisdom Skill Check (DC 2) will then allow you to open the pod.

This quest can be approached via two main routes:

  • Seek Protection from the Shadow Curse (Mountain Pass ver.)
